Title of qualification awarded Agronomist Engineer
Name and type of organisation providing education and training High School of Agronomist Engineers of Lleida (UPC, ETSEALL).
It is a degree course with a 2-year duration and 150 credits (120 ECTS)
Agricultural Engineers are professionals technically trained to manage, design, project, do research and apply technological innovation to the rural, agricultural and agro-alimentary environment, with the aim of improving production, use, industrial transformation, defense and preservation of the environment. They are trained to do this reconciling productivity, quality, economy and rural development.
Agricultural Engineers develop a professional working capacity which is more advanced than that of the previous corresponding first-cycle studies regarding different aspects:
* They have a wider and multidisciplinary view of the agro-alimentary system because they complete their technological qualification in the different aspects of agricultural activities (Plant Production, Animal Husbandry, Food Technology, Rural Engineering, etc.)
* They have a more complete analytical and management capacity because they get additional training in Statistical and Mathematic Methodology, Economics, Quality Control, Projects, etc.
* They have a more in-depth training because they develop scientific and methodological specialization in one of the profiles offered by the ETSEA.
